As the name suggests, Tip Top Lofts was once home to Tip Top Tailors, a quintessential Canadian retailer. Just think about the generations of weddings, proms, and special occasions that have been outfitted by Tip Top Tailors! It’s been a Canadian institution for over 100 years! Serve!
First built in 1929, the building was a warehouse, factory, and office before getting the heritage designation treatment in the 1970s. In 2005, the building was converted into the 256 stylish lofts we know today.

There’s a Tip Top suite for anyone and everyone if you’re looking for a loft. With floorplans ranging from 400 square feet to 3,000 square feet, the size and style of lofts here are varied. Today, the cost of a Fort York condo is about $1050 per square foot. Tip Top Lofts demands a slightly higher price but is still in line with the neighbourhood average. Lofts are always slightly more expensive than traditional condos, yet Tip Top Lofts remains on the more affordable side of the scale.
